Graeme’s first novel, The Disappearance of Adele Bedeau, a haunting tale set in a small French town, was very well received and an undoubted hit. However his second book, His Bloody Project, turned his life upside down.
The brilliantly imagined novel was a massive success. It went into reprint almost immediately, winning and being shortlisted for awards across the world. It won the Saltire fiction
book of the year, won the VRIJ Nederland thriller of the year, and was shortlisted for the LA Times mystery book of the year. Most famously perhaps, His Bloody Project was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.
His latest book, The Accident on the A35 , takes us back to France with a droll and intelligent literary thriller.
