Stuart MacBride

Stuart MacBride is the Number One bestselling author of the Logan McRae and Ash Henderson series that have seen him firmly established as one of the UK’s most popular crime writers.

He has made Aberdeen his own on the crime map of Scotland, endearing the city and its people to a legion of fans since the publication of his aptly- titled debut Cold Granite. There have been a further twelve novels featuring his long- suffering protagonist, Detective Inspector Logan McRae and a familiar supporting cast including the likes of Roberta Steel, wee Hamish Mowat, Biohazard Bob and Andy ‘Ding Dong’ Bell.

The latest McRae thriller is the brilliant All That’s Dead. A war is brewing between the factions for and against Scottish nationalism, and there’s blood on the streets.

Stuart has been shortlisted for the Theakstons Old Peculiar Crime Novel of the Year Award twice. He won the 2007 CWA Dagger in the Library, awarded for his fine body of work. However, despite his extensive literary success, Stuart lists his greatest achievements as winning Celebrity Mastermind and being crowned World Stovie Making Champion.
