Liz Nugent

Liz worked in Irish film, theatre and television before becoming a writer. From the moment she did so, things changed.

Her debut novel, Unravelling Oliver, was huge. And rightly so. Her terrifying, compulsive portrayal of the making of a psychopath is one of those books you just can’t put down.

It was a Number One bestseller In Ireland. It won the Crime Fiction Prize in the 2014 Irish Book Awards. It was a Sunday Times bestseller. It was a Richard and Judy Book Club pick.

Liz’s second novel, Lying in Wait, went straight to Number One in the Irish bestseller charts, remained there for nearly two months and won her a second IBA and was chosen as part of the Spring 2017 list for Richard & Judy.

Her much-anticipated third novel Skin Deep is out now. Cordelia Russell has been living on the French Riviera for twenty-five years, passing herself off as an English socialite. But her luck, and the kindness of strangers, have run out. A visitor from her distant past arrives on the scene, bringing death in her wake.

Liz lives in Dublin with her husband.
